So you've probably been wondering what we've been up to lately. Or maybe not. Either way, here goes.

REAL BIG NEWS, David Letterman saw our videos on YouTube.com and has asked us to be on the show this season. Nah, just kidding! : ) That would be really cool though. If you haven't heard, Mike and Barrett are the proud parents of a new baby girl, Anna Quinn Elder. Yes, we now have Truckstop Preachers Onesies. She was born October 8th, 2006. Everything went well and they're all doing great. Congratulations Mike!

We've done several shows since the last news update and would like to thank all those folks we played with and those putting the shows on. David Childers at the Milestone, Alvin Crowder at the Lincoln Theatre, VA, Justin and Douglas at the Charlotte Oktoberfest, Andrew Clarkson and Communication Management, Leslie and Stephen in Bostic, NC, Mark and Lisa for the Honky Tonk Hoedown, Jem and the Hypertonics, Jill and Chris O'Neil, Gary at Pucketts Farm Equipment, The Canyoneros and all the guys at the Double Door, The Loose Lugnuts and The Evening Muse, Roger at Tropical Escape, and Marianne at the Hideaway BBQ. Everyone of these shows were great! We had great time playing them and meeting everybody there! Let's do it again!

So you're probably wondering if we've loaded up on the wagon and quit playing honky tonks, right? No, we're not in rehab. We've finally decided to take some time and write some more material. Man, we've been lazy! There's a few songs we plan on unveiling for the next couple of shows. We'll be tweaking them before we put them on a disc, so let us know what you think. We hope to have new CD out this summer.

We'll be heading up to Raleigh for our second show at the Hideaway BBQ. It was a record turnout for the place back in December. They've got some incredible BBQ! We hope ya'll can make it out there!
